What is biostimulation?
Biostimulation (electro-biostimulation) is a body remodeling procedure using electrical stimulation of muscles and other tissues, with the help of impulses similar to physiological stimuli.
What is the difference between biostimulation and electrostimulation?
The basic principle is the same. Electrical impulses reach the muscle fibers which they stimulate, generating their contraction. Electrostimulation is an older technique that performs a coarse muscle stimulation, using currents not optimally adapted to human physiology, unlike biostimulation, which uses over 40 types of electrical impulses of variable intensity, amplitude, frequency and duration, in accordance with natural biological impulses. Muscle contraction achieved through biostimulation is painless, unlike electrostimulation. Biostimulation is much more effective than electrostimulation.
A 30-minute biostimulation session is equivalent to 2 hours of electrostimulation. Additionally, the effect of a biostimulation session extends up to 24 hours after the procedure ends, due to the penetrance and persistence of micro-biocurrents at the tissue level.
What is the difference between biostimulation and physical exercise?
Biostimulation acts wherever we want and wherever there is muscle tissue, but its usefulness is greatest especially in areas where physical exercises fail. When it comes to body remodeling, physical exercise has two limitations: one related to the accessibility of certain muscle groups for performing various movements, and the second related to the depth of certain muscle groups, which become active only after a long period of exercise. Using physio-sequential electrical programs, muscles can be targeted, selected and directly activated, resulting in concentrated exercises without stress and fatigue. Sometimes these muscles cannot even be voluntarily contracted. Results are thus obtained in a much shorter period of time. Biostimulation treatments do not replace physical exercise, which is necessary to improve cardiovascular system performance. Biostimulation increases the efficiency of physical activity and exercise tolerance.
What are the effects of biostimulation?
Rapid circumference loss, rapid fat reduction around the stomach, waist, hips and thighs. Weight loss - this program should be combined with a healthy diet.
Anti-cellulite through the succession of stimulations helps destroy adipose tissue and evacuate it through lymphatic drainage, reduces cellulite by over 75% (as demonstrated by clinical studies). Reduction of the fat layer above the muscles and strengthening the activity of muscle fibers lacking tone, thus helping to reduce adipose tissue.
Muscle sculpting increases muscle tone, physical condition and muscle strength, giving muscles shape and a healthy appearance.
Deep muscle toning tones deep muscles that normally do not come into function through physical exercise or only after prolonged physical effort.
Bust lifting (breasts)/pectoral toning tones and lifts the pectoral muscles.
Arm and hand lifting and toning.
Hip, buttock and thigh lifting and toning.
Posture and pelvic girdle toning is ideal for postnatal treatments, which can be started a few weeks after natural birth and after 2 months from cesarean section (after wound healing and when there is no longer painful sensitivity).
Do you lose weight in kg or cm?
By combining different types of stimuli, biostimulation allows simultaneous effects for slimming in cm and weight, cellulite regression and muscle toning, achieving complex body remodeling.
For very busy people, there is the ULTRAFAST rapid slimming program of just 20' which incorporates multiple programs.
Is special preparation needed before starting the program?
A client form is completed which also includes questions about diet and lifestyle. Weight and circumference measurements of the waist, arms, thighs and hips are taken, which will be repeated weekly or as often as necessary. We also perform the body diagnostic test to determine the percentage of fat mass, muscle mass, fat, water, and especially impedance - indices that change under the action of Ultratone biostimulation and which will confirm the effectiveness of the treatment.
How long is a session?
From 20 min ULTRAFAST to 35 min depending on the chosen program; this duration may differ from session to session.
When do the first results appear?
First results generally appear after 5-7 sessions, but there are also people for whom they appear after a greater number of sessions, depending on diet and lifestyle. In a biostimulation session with Ultratone, an average of 200 kcal is lost, and after the procedure a feeling of hunger appears. If the person eats more than usual, results will be delayed, and if, on the contrary, the person also follows a diet, even a light one, results will be rapid and spectacular.
How many sessions per week or per month are recommended?
At Paris Esthetique we recommend 3 sessions per week. The number of sessions varies greatly from case to case, depending on several factors, such as the proposed target, excess weight, muscle tone and not least how quickly the person wants to reach their desired shape.
Can the procedure be combined with other procedures?
Ultratone biostimulation can be combined with other procedures, and it is even recommended to achieve vasodilation before the procedure, for example through body wraps.
If we combine biostimulation with endermological treatment using LPG Alliance Cellu M6, body remodeling, circumference loss and cellulite regression will be spectacular and rapid.
